No job was done on time. Failure to notice problems (eg. brake pads worn to the metal or tires being of different sizes) is beyond what I thought possible.
His excessively friendly manner may fool you. I'm ashamed to admit it did us for several months.
In addition to having wasted a huge amount of our time and having exposed me and my passengers to deadly danger with his botched brake job he has borrowed a significant amount of money that he refused to return. His refusal was backed up by threats that he is well connected in the criminal world and is thus free from any obligations towards weaklings like us.
I advise MY SITE'S USERS who hired him in the past not to do that again.
I am aware that he is now trying to inflict similar disservices (car search, purchase, and full service) to others, including travellers to Russia. Watch out.
Although any reminder of the Sergei Malking episode of my life (spring and summer 2010) is highly unpleasant to me I do not want others to fall victim to his unprofessionalism as a mechanic and his shocking dishonesty. Thus this ugly announcement.
